The Turning Long Beach Theatre reviews
DISAPPOINTED
I was truly disappointed after missing The Turning play twice over the years, only to see him finally. Already frustrated after spending over an hour and a half to park due to poor planning with the USC/UCLA football game and having to pay $20 for parking that was nowhere close to the Shrine. The Turning did not play any good old hits as I expected and was sullen the whole time, furthering the frustration. The show went further downhill from there when he forced everyone to watch very graphic films about animal farming, which he did not warn was graphic. You cannot force people to accept your beliefs like that. I realized I was incredibly bored and not going to hear any of the classics I was looking forward to hearing after that. After fans crawled onstage, he seemed to storm off after only playing a one song encore, topping it all off. He should've made a comment about it if he was angry about this, and the fans would've listened, instead, he simply stormed off leaving us shocked and disappointed. It was much much shorter than it time it took to drive, park, and walk to the venue, overall the show was less than 90 minutes. Disappointed for my first The Turning show, then it took another 40 minutes to get out of the lot. I heard he used to mix it up before and was really upset that I spent $75 for a lesson on how to be a vegan.
